Extremely barebones first draft, but I think it’s important to establish what my guidelines on AI usage here are. I’ll revise this and make it clearer with time.
I will:
- write all personal posts by hand, full stop. Anything less and I don’t see the point of putting my thoughts out there in their imprecise form, in the best way I thought to communicate them.
- write technical posts by hand, in full, for the first draft, then have Claude or another AI proofread and catch inconsistencies/errors I may have made. I will then review whatever points are made and write the final post fully by hand. For posts that I need to be precise about, I figure it’s best to double-check my work against an entity that can pull from a much broader pool of knowledge.
- Photos will always be real, while visualizations for clarity may be created by AI, as in my work they frequently come out as unrefined matplotlib blue-orange-green plots (or don’t come out at all).
Essentially: the final text will always be written by my own hands. Any realistic visual content will be my own. I may use AI to review technical posts and generate charts/plots for visualizations.
I also can’t web dev, so some of the CSS will be AI-generated. I do not wish to claim this as my own art; this is merely for clearer and more efficient presentation of what I wish to convey.
